This week’s action challenge

This week, I want to give you a good, old, coaching challenge.

Are you up for it?

  1. Grab a piece of paper and a pen.
  2. Make a list of all your different roles in life. For example, wife, mother, sister, manager, church committee member, friend, blogger, etc.
  3. Circle the one that you feel needs some work.
  4. Write down 3 concrete actions you can take (the smaller the better so you don’t get overwhelmed)
  5. Post your actions in the comments. Go on – I dare you 😉

  1. Oh, that’s a good one! Well, all my roles could use some improvement, but one I want to focus one recently is my friend role. Here are my three actions:
    1. Invite friends I had lost touch with to watch Bastille day’s fireworks in our garden – DONE!
    2. prepare DVDs of pictures and digital scrapbook for our friends that come to party on Saturday, so that I can share my creative side with them and make them enjoy the pix of our last party
    3. call my best friends Céline and Nanie.

I’ll let you know how it goes!! Thanks for the push, it was exactly what I needed!

  2. The role I am struggling with most: Blogger. I am an effective communicator, but when it comes to blogging, I am quite intimidated! I must, however, because it’s part of my new site. So, here I go…

    I will:
    1. Set aside a regular time every night to devote to blogging
    2. Keep a notepad handy to write down blogging ideas
    3. Not compare my blog to others’. (Like yours!) It makes me feel inadequate!

    Thanks, Marcia!

      Robin, don’t feel inadequate!

Once you make the commitment to blog, decide on a minimum number of posts per week and you’ll see – you start seeing ideas everywhere.

You don’t have to write it all in one shot – you can space them out 🙂

      Keep at it!
