What are your organising goals for April?

So, it’s 1 April but this is not an April Fool’s joke 🙂
I want to know what your organising and time goals are for the month.

I’ll go first. Mine are

1) enjoy a lovely holiday – we’re going away for 4 days this month – so quite a bit of packing to do

2) get this blog redesigned – it’s about time, isn’t it?
3) declutter and organise the kids’ clothes as we go into the colder weather
4) get chest of drawers and other dresser painted (I’m going olive green for the one and turquoise for the other)

Last month I didn’t get the filing done but I did declutter their toys.

Sometimes you just have to ask youself, “what’s driving me more crazy right this minute?” 🙂

So, what are your organising goals this month?

PS I’m also going to blog every day this month. So I need some ideas – what questions would you like me to answer? Ask in the comments and I’ll pepper my answers throughout the month. And don’t forget to send me your inspiring space, or the link if you see some gorgeous spaces while you’re blog-hopping.

  1. Our organizing goal is to create a huge amount of storage space in the basement, but to get to that end we’ll have to bring everything in storage and from our den upstairs while we undergo a huge reno. So I guess my organizing goal is to not make the disorganization too chaotic!

Amanda, the key is very simple – rope everyone in and do a 5 – 10-minute tidy every night. It’s the only way to keep up with the picked up house.

  4. I’m on vacation until mid month so I’m planning to organize/spring clean/declutter a bunch of spaces: my filing system, my basement/laundry room, my bedroom’s surfaces, my paperwork (especially the medical one) etc. I’ve probably enough spaces for a 2 months-vacay, but we’ll see! LOL Since I’m resting after our first IFV (finally, yay!!) I won’t do anything too tiring or physically demanding, but I’ll work slowly and tackle as many spots as I can, 15 minutes at a time. Babysteps!!

I’m a bit on the same boat with Amanda: the maintenance is the tough part, so I also want to revamp and start practicing my daily routine to make it easier.

  5. Chloe, please take care of yourself first 🙂

How lovely to be on holiday for so long – I’m sure you’re going to reach your organising goals easy-peasy.

  6. I am busy organising my Tween boys life and routine a bit better because he is drowning a bit. I’m finding it challenging to implement things that will be easy for him to maintain.

This month I also want to sort my kitchen cupboards. Am so going to dump dump all plastic containers. Need to sort out clothing again (mine as well as the kids) seeing that we are going into Winter.

It’s nearly time for your holiday! You have no idea how envious I am of you right now. I would KILL for a holiday at this moment. Enjoy.x

  7. ps..I need help with organising my grocery cupboard. Can you please blog on this sometime?

  8. Plan meals for the 11 day Easter holiday – letting it be chilled out time for the whole family.
Put up curtains in the main bedroom ..prepping for winter chill.
Plan the weekly baking lessons my boys love so much. (have fallen behind).
