20 [31 days] how do you organise your make-up?

I want to know how to organize makeup if you have a small bedroom like me.

Well, Monali, I have the smallest bathroom in the world and that’s where my make-up lives.

It’s not difficult for me to keep things decluttered 🙂 since I don’t wear much – foundation, eye-liner, lip liner and lipstick. I do have my make-up in a little box on the cistern of the toilet, and the lipsticks are separately contained in a little bucket within that box.

My suggestions – keep going through your stuff and keep only the essentials. I also saw a great tip (I think from Chloe?) once – to keep your daily make-up together and your fancier stuff together so that you don’t waste time on a daily basis. Love that tip!

Decide on a container and make sure you keep evaluating your physical boundaries so that it doesn’t take over your bedroom.

What about you, readers?

What are your suggestions for organising make-up?

  1. Yup, I guess it was me! LOL Actually, I should follow my own tip: since then, I decluttered my make up and now everything is in one little bag. The daily stuff is on top of it, so still easy to find on a daily basis, but still… I should either declutter more or separate daily and fancy stuff again. Mmmmm, we’ll see! LOL

  2. Daily stuff together. Extras/Special occasion stuff together. I don’t have that much so it is Easy Peasy.
Some women do have LOTS of make up though. I just stay away from the sales and buy one get one free deals because that is a sure way to end up with too much makeup!

I used to be a total sucker for those deals at the make-up counters but haven’t succumbed for YEARS now. I do have to give myself a talking-to though 🙂

  3. Makeup doesn’t have a long shelf life once it’s opened…if you adhere to manufacturer guidelines, you should be cleaning out your supplies pretty regularly. That definitely helps keep the clutter down in my bathroom drawer.

*blush* I never even look at those guidelines – I’m sure I use my things too long… and if I did start doing that I think I’d stop buying things like mascara and eye shadow. Foundation, eye liner and lipstick are my standards.
