What’s in my handbag?

I showed you what’s in my handbag just over two years ago.

I can’t believe I used this small handbag 🙂

And then I bought a brown leather handbag – I still have it – that I used non-stop for about a year and a half before I started swopping out bags again.

And then a colleague brought in a bag she’d bought online that was so soft I couldn’t stop touching it, and smelled so good that I had to put in my own order.

Here’s a picture of my bag!

But this post is not about the bag, but about the contents. Although you should get one or three 🙂 This post is not sponsored but I’m a huge fan – customer service is outstanding and the quality of the bags is amazing. Please sniff and feel mine when we meet 🙂

I tend to keep two sets of items in my handbag:

1. things I always have with me

  1. wallet
  2. phone
  3. make-up
  4. tissues
  5. charger and powerbank
  6. glass microfibre cloth (for glasses and iphone)

2. things I add when I’m going to work

  1. bullet journal
  2. Moleskine
  3. pencil bag

I keep the first set of stuff in a silver pouch except for my phone which always (no matter the bag) belongs in its own separate pocket.

I toss the silver pouch into whichever bag I’m using.

Then if I’m going to work, I add the second set of things, or if I’m going to gym, I have a water bottle and sweatshirt instead.

If I’m going to church all the things go in, but I add my church notebook and the water too!

I will add that I always have an apple and bottle of water with me, but not when I’m going to work since I take a whole lunch bag (which has an apple) and there’s water there 🙂

It’s very simple and yet works so well for me.

What’s in your bag? I’m really keen to see what is different for you.

And please, as always, ask me any questions in the comments!

  1. Where’s your car and house keys?
I also carry my ID everywhere.

My bag is tailored to the things I need to carry in it and I never change bags. I use one bag until it is dead, then I make a new one. It is designed for one shoulder or across the chest and it needs to fit behind my legs while I drive, with a strap that can be tucked under my legs so it does not fall forward.
Wallet, phone in one section. This is the part that is against my body so I can also feel the phone vibrate because I never hear it.
Main section number 1: Keys and cloth to clean spectacles, lip balm, breath mints.
Main section 2: Lotion, socks (because I sometimes need to change to safety shoes and I may be wearing sandals or heels without socks on already), tissues, charger, powerbank, car charger, flash drive, 3m measuring tape, laser tape, batteries. I also have little toys in case HB needs to be occupied.
Main section 3: Panado, antihistamines, pain meds for serious stuff, flu medicine, eye drops, hair clip, hair bands, hair comb.
Outside section: ID, tampons, business cards, prescriptions, HB’s birth certificate (copy).
Pencil section: My very many pens and pencils.

I add a lunch box and fruit to the middle section as needed. Coffee sachets. Notebook. I also add snacks for HB as required. I no longer carry a book to read because the phone can do that. And sometimes I stick a scale ruler in when I go to a meeting.

thank you for sending me pics of your bag! I love how intentional and unapologetic you are about what you need and why.

  3. My bag content is similar except I don’t usually carry a charger or power bank.

That bag looks divine. Will go check out the site! I need a black bag and I’ve realized since I’ve decided to be be an adult I only want “good” bags

  4. I believe what you wrote made a great deal of sense. But, what about this?
suppose you added a little information? I am not saying
your information is not good., however what if you added something to maybe get
folk’s attention? I mean What’s in my handbag? is kinda boring.
You might look at Yahoo’s home page and see how they
write post headlines to grab viewers to click. You
might try adding a video or a picture or two to get readers
excited about everything’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it
could make your posts a little bit more interesting.
