My eat the frog notebook and a notebook giveaway

Remember how I always talk about eating the frog?

If you’re a member of my newsletter list, there’s an eat the frog form in your welcome pack.

However, I’m probably getting too old or something… but more and more I feel the need to simplify. How this translates is that while I love printables, I’m getting tired of loose paper and the punched paper in a file doesn’t do it for me …. too cluttery *ahem*

So when I saw these little notebooks, I thought they’d be PERFECT to write down my 6 “eat the frog” items daily.

They’re small enough to take up very little space on my desk, undated so I can skip lazy days and have just enough space for 6 daily items.

Best of all, I got two so that one of you can get one too.

Normally, my giveaways are open to anyone worldwide but I don’t have extra energy at the moment to be running to the post office and standing in queues… I do have ONE set of stamps in my wallet to post this to a South African address though.

Would you like one of these?

Which colour is your favourite?

Just for fun, tell me one thing on your current to-do list.

Mine? Make Christmas cards list!

What do most women have in common?

I don’t usually generalise but I’ve realised that the vast majority of women love a good sale πŸ™‚

There are two things we’re celebrating this week – my 39th birthday (!) and tomorrow is National Women’s Day in South Africa.

For one week only, I’m having a buy one, get one free sale.

Most of the products are the same price but if you happen to want two items at different pricepoints, I won’t make you pay the higher price. SimplyΒ  add them together and divide by two. Score.

How this will work

  • Click through to the product pages.
  • Follow the Paypal link and buy the first item. In the NOTES TO SELLER section, let me know which second “free” product you’d like.
  • I’ll then hook you up to both of them πŸ™‚
  • If you have any problems, just send your payment to marcia @ organisingqueen.com via Paypal with BOTH product names in the NOTES TO SELLER section.
  • The sale finishes at midnight EST on 15th Aug (6 am South African time on Friday 16th).

And now for a little competition…

Just for fun, guess which of my 7 products will result in the most sales, whether as primary or secondary purchases.

I’ll send that person a surprise gift in the mail no matter where in the world you live πŸ™‚

The competition also finishes at midnight EST on 15th Aug (6 am South African time on Friday 16th).

Let the games begin πŸ™‚

PS the photo was taken in NYC last year. Can you see the four of us and Trump Towers in the reflection?

One month in… a book giveaway for Live Organised

Today is the one-month anniversary of the book launch πŸ™‚

It feels much longer.

I finally plucked up the courage to actually look at book sales (honestly, I’ve been too scared to look :)) and thank goodness, I don’t have to be embarrassed, so a big THANK YOU to you if you’ve bought either the Kindle or a physical copy.

If you’ve read the book, please leave a review on Amazon. Thanks πŸ™‚

Have a look here and get your copy.

1.

I’m still investigating a good option to get a batch of physical books to the South Africans because shipping is crazy expensive.

At the moment I can get it down to R110 (inclusive of postage and packing). Give me til the end of this week and either 1) we’ll go with that option or 2) I’ll have found something a teensy bit cheaper.

2.

This week I want to give away a Kindle copy of the book.

There are a number of ways to enter:

  • leave a comment telling me what your burning question is with getting and staying organised – this one is compulsory πŸ™‚
  • share this post on Facebook
  • Tweet about this giveaway

The giveaway ends on Friday 12pm EST (6pm SA time) and I’ll announce the winner next Monday.

Otherwise, what are you looking forward to doing this week?

I get to think about and plan my next Kindle book, all while I’m packing party packs πŸ™‚

And the winner is…

Thank you all for entering the giveaway and for your fantastic comments.

The winner is Amanda Jane who reads via email.

Amanda Jane, please email your full names plus your postal address to me asap, but definitely before Friday 1pm EST.

Thanks so much for playing alongΒ  – if you didn’t win, get your Kindle or Amazon copy of Clutter Rehab – you won’t be disappointed.

Book review – Clutter Rehab – and a giveaway

This giveaway is now closed! Winner will be announced later today.

It’s an honour for me to feature my friend, Laura’s book on my blog.

We actually go way back – we both started our blogs in 2006 but of course, hers is a TRILLION times more popular than mine – and we both hear baskets calling out to us πŸ™‚

Actually, when she blogged about how the baskets call her name, that’s when I knew we were kindred spirits!

Of course I’m talking about the Organizing Junkie, Laura Wittman, and her book, Clutter Rehab.

I finished this book in just *two days because of the following:

  1. it is small (only 128 pages so you won’t get overwhelmed)
  2. it was so easy to read because this is a real person using her own tips, not just theorising about organising
  3. it has big, bright numbers to the tips and is a visually appealing book with great pictures
  4. those 101 tips are really simple and doable – anybody can use them

* Confession – I could have finished it the same day but unfortunately, I had to get up and go to work πŸ™‚

Laura and I have very similar viewpoints, like you don’t need to spend a lot of money to get organised and it’s not about having a perfect home, but a comfortable home for you and your family.

So…. I have good news.

I’m giving away a copy of Clutter Rehab on my blog.

They will post it to wherever you are so this giveaway is open to EVERYONE, anywhere in the world.

There are three ways to enter the giveaway:

  1. Leave a comment on this post and tell me either your favourite organising “tool” (mine is the common spiral-bound notebook and pen) or your biggest organising question.
  2. Tweet this giveaway (and come back to tell me you tweeted)
  3. Share this giveaway on Facebook (and come back to tell me you did it)

The giveaway will be open for ONE WEEK until Thursday 28th 12 pm EST (6 pm South African time). I’ll choose a winner through random.org, announce it on the blog and you have one week to send me your email address, so make sure you’re reading.

And…. go comment!

PS I’ll be giving my own copy away at my Inspired workshop in Johannesburg next month. I know someone else would love it and my copy is as new (I’m a book freak).

Question of the week and a giveaway!

Today is my half birthday πŸ™‚

Only 6 months left to finish the things on my 36 things list.

Here’s the giveaway:

I will give away 6 copies of my Dream Life Journal (no longer available for sale and only given to my private coaching clients) with prompts, coaching questions and worksheets to help you Dream Big. Or just start dreaming. Or dreaming again. Whatever.

All you have to do is…

  1. answer today’s question of the week in the comments.
  2. if you want additional entries, “like” this post on Facebook.
  3. if you tweet about this, come back and tell us in the comments

I am also going to gift a 15-minute laser coaching session to one person who needs help to dream again. This session will help you get unstuck and start moving toward your dreams.

The giveaway will be open for exactly one week.

Please make sure your email is attached to your comment otherwise I may not be able to find you!

So today’s question for you…

If you could do anything in the world, time and money being no option, what would you do?

Who would you like to meet?

Where would you like to travel?

What would you like to learn to do?

One of my dreams is to live on a beach somewhere for a month or two, doing absolutely nothing. Of course that now means that there’ll have to be a nanny helping to look after the babies πŸ˜‰

I can’t wait to read your answers!
