At the beginning of the month when I joined the Ultimate Blog Challenge I didn’t quite know how I would manage to blog on this blog each and every day.
After all, I have been blogging 12 times a month for ages and sometimes I can’t even think what to write about.
But a strange thing has happened:
I’m finding it easier to blog daily than three times a week.
Isn’t that strange?
I thought about it and I think it’s probably because (1) I’m creating a new habit and (2), because I know I’m blogging daily, I notice my environment more. I now have my “blogging hat” on so I see opportunities to write about things all the time.
I suppose it’s the focus ofย having a daily habit that is setting me up for success.
Thinking about the blogging reminded me of a post I read on Gretchen Rubin’s blog the other day.
She wrote about dieting and how people are either moderators or abstainers.
Reading Gretchen’s post, I’m clearly a moderator. If you read it, let me know which one you are.
But back to the daily habits.
Do you have any successful routines that you’ve cultivated simply through making a daily habit of it?
Two things I do daily are read for at least 30 minutes and I also write daily (I don’t always publish my posts though :))
PS Feel free to leave any questions you’d like me to answer in the comments. They don’t only have to be about organising.
